Microsoft buys Skype for $8.5B Cash

The internet landscape is about to change.  Today,  Microsoft announced that it will be buying the well known Internet Communications Company - Skype for $8.5 Billion.  There is a great strategic reason for this as I believe Microsoft is really looking to bolster it's mobile phone platform as well as fend off staunch competition from Google and Apple.
